Advice on where' coolant drain?

I'm too cheap to buy the Cummins shop book, but for the life of me I cannot find the drain valve for the radiator. I went out to change the coolant and this was the last thing I thought would stop me. They did a great job of hiding it.

I know someone out in TDR land has the answer. Thanks

Coolant Drain

Haven't checked our '01 to see if they deleated it too. but '99 is on bottom rear of radiator on drivers side. Hard to see, look from underside. Valve is plastic, so be careful opening.

It's also a small plastic petcock that needs to be turned and pulled back a little bit.



When you drain it though, make sure you have a little piece of rubber hose to slide over the drain, and point it into a bucket.

I found that if you don't do this, you get anti-freeze everywhere.

On my thermostat change page, there are photos of the drain location and how to get it open. To find yours, look on the driver side at the bottom of the radiator and to the right of the intercooler boot.
