I am looking at lifting just the front of the truck 2", If I do it, will it screw up anything on the supension? I was quoted $400, does that sound about right? By the way, just put in 275 injectors and boy what a difference. sure put a smile on my face... , next I am saving for a transmission rebuild and then I will add more. Thanks for all the enjoyment I get from this group. . :D

Just lifted my front end 2 1/2" about 6 months ago.

If you just put in new springs (or spacers) and have the original Track bar your axle will stick out about an inch more on the driver side. Skyjacker makes a kit to correct this though. I personally went with a new adjustable trac bar from DT. Much heavier duty IMHO.

Also when you lift the axle will set a little further back. If you have molded front mud flaps. Bigger tires may hit them.

You will also Need to replace your front shocks or you will blow them apart. I personally like Bilsteins.

The $400 was for Springs or spacers. Did it include labor? I paid $300 for just my springs. Installed them with a dual front shock kit and new lower control arms as well as that new Trac bar.

Your suspension may seem a little loose later with the lift (mine did) I added the DSS. Did wonders for my steering.

Here's how it looks:

GMains,

I lifted the front of my truck with the use of a DayStar poly spacer almost 3 years ago. I have not noticed any negative effects so far. I have no wandering, or anything else. The price of 400 is hard to give any opinion about, you just didn't supply enough information. I can tell you that a DayStar spacer sells for about $150. 00, and to good shocks (Bilstein,Rancho) will be another 120-130. The job of installing eighter a spring or spacer is not that complicated, and can be done in half a day. In this picture of my trucks front-end, you can see the spacer installed just above the spring. Good luck with your lift.
