I'm looking at a used 14 3500 daully with Aisin with 29k. The car fax is showing 2 previous owners and a FCA recall SCR #T05. Is this anything to worry about. Can a local dealer preform the recall and all is good. Any advise is much appreciated. Here's the vin 3C63RRKL7EG239375

Just issued last month. Wouldn't give the recall a second thought if you like the truck.

It has determined that some 2013 through 2015 model year RAM 3500 pickups equipped with a 6.7L Cummins
turbo diesel engine may release air pollutants which exceed Federal and/or California Oxides of Nitrogen (NOX)
standards.
The problem is...
Some 2013 through 2015 model year RAM 3500 pickups may experience degradation
of the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system. Degradation of the SCR system can
cause tailpipe emissions of NOX to exceed emissions standard.
What your dealer
will do...
The SCR system on your vehicle will be repaired free of charge. However, the permanent
remedy for this condition is currently not available. Every effort is being made to
make this remedy available as quickly as possible. FCA will contact vehicle owners by
mail, when the remedy parts are available.

So Mopar's site now lists the T05 SCR recall for our 2015 3500. I wonder if the P249E I got on the way home from Az plays into this?

That recall also showed on the 14 I just bought and my local dealer gave me the exact same info as Sag2 posted when I inquired on it. Not that this helps, but so far the truck has been great with a couple of 600+ mile towing trips.

It might be that the two previous owners got fed up with the dead pedal and lag/torque management issues. Be sure to put it thru all sorts of driving conditions since it has the Aison. Most importantly, when you accelerate from a stop and then let off right away at about 5-10mph. Then try to accelerate again. Count the seconds of delay. Or simulate a passing situation at about 55 mph. Count the seconds of delay when you floor it in 6th. If you have the 3-5 second delay in either case, or more, that might be the reason the others left it behind. Lots of discussion on this forum about that problem.

That driving style will bring it out in just about all current RAMs, and it is Aisin BTW.

I stand corrected on the spelling. Usually make that mistake. What I did not point out was the lag in acceleration off the line with some of these so equipped trucks. If the OP has all those factors when test driving the vehicle he should go into the transaction knowing full well that he might have some situations that are dangerous. An after market device can help with that symptom.

And Snoke....is it Eye-sin or Aaa-sin? I don't want to misspell AND mispronounce the word.
