fuel pump ??? 04.5

Is there a knowledgable person here that would be willing to discuss compound possibilities?

When I started my build I went into it a bit excited. The setup I have currently is not what I'm after and will be starting over. This time I would like to go into it better educated of how they will perform.

Thanks in advance.

Joe Donnelly Ph. D. TDR member and writer is the most knowledgeable among us. I doubt Joe is willing to exchange dozens of written messages with you but he might be willing to talk to you on the phone a bit.

If I wanted to prepare a Cummins engine for high horsepower and torque, which I assume is your goal, I would begin by reading all of Joe's articles on related subjects in all the back issues of TDR going back to his earliest on the HPCR engines. He has probably already written everything you want to know. If you read and understand all his back articles before contacting him he would probably be happy to answer your questions.

From what I see in your sig, my guess is you are disappointed with slow spool up? Wot or lag, not much of a choice.

If it were me, I would call Nathan at MPI(Maximum Performance Inc). He is very knowledgable, and very willing to share that knowledge.

If my assumption is right about slow spooling, you could overcome that by a heavier fueling program, and larger injectors, looks like you have the delivery of fuel taking care of with the duel pumps. But then again you end up with a hot rod vs. a working truck.

If my thought process is wrong, what is it you are trying to accomplish?
