I got a Titan tank for my 2005 crewcab long bed. It had major fit issues that Titan is not willing to address. The shape improperly engineered. The tank will not snug up to the truck tank crossmembers because the tank high portions are too tall. There is a one to one and a half inch gap. The tall portions hit the pick up bed crossmembrs and the bottom of the truck cab. The front band support recess is the wrong spacing from the rear so the band is only 1/2 on a flat surface.
1/4" Crosslinked polyethylene is in my opinion os a superior product, but the need to bite the bullet and shape it like a transferflow. And figure out how to put at least one baffel like the stock plastic tank has. Re-design is a big buck expense for Titan but the tanks aren't cheap for the consumer. They say that many have been installed on this truck. If they are then it has to be a jury rigged 2nd rate installation. There is only one way for a tank to fit.
I had to return it. I am not happy having to go steel. 170 lbs. vs 50 lbs. Titans other tanks may fit great??? They didn't do their homework for 2005 Dodge and it has cost me more time , money and inconvienience than it was worth. I wish Titan would step up to the plate and take some U. S. pride in their product.
