Ok here is my question, what are all of you with aux. fuel tanks doing to hook them up in the 05s, being that the fuel pump is located in the factory tank. On my 2000 I put in a 6way valve and a sending unit that I tap into the factory guage, and it work perfect. But with the fuel pump in the factory tank are you putting a pump in the aux. tank or pumping it to the factory tank?

Now here is my problem, I called AERO TANKS, and the unpleasant lady that answered the phone told me that all they do is put in a 6 way valve with a switch, with NO PUMP in the aux. tank. So I asked her about the pump that is in the factory tank and if the aux tank needed one. She said that it didn't need another pump because the aux tank was mounted higher and that the pump on the side of the motor was enough. But I dont see a lift pump on the side of the motor( like my 00 had). So is she refuring to the high pressure pump? So any help on the subject would be great.

She is just not aware of the new set-up,it will get worse... ... ..... the 2nd gens lift pumps are getting moved into the tanks also.

Why give them any business as a one and only one time customer they have lousy customer service and questionable quality. In fact in my opinion they should not even be allowed to advertise in TDR and the positive write up Joe Donnaly just gave must have been for a free tank. His write up on them is a real disservice to the readers. A tank that leaked around the sending module from the first fill up was my problem they would not take care of. Unsafe in fact DOT should investigate them. Many have posted other major problems with them and they do not stand behind anything. Support other business that appreciate customers and will help with problems without attitude. Wes at North West Metal products is excellent, 603-359-4427 or Aero Tanks. The ignorance and attitude of the women on the phone is probably the best you will get from the whole company.

just add a tee for the vent and the supply line just below the filler neck and gravity feed into the main tank it worked fine for me. add a switch in the cab and a 12 volt fuel valve and a manual shut off switch, and i also added a fuel filter.
