I put an Aeromotive A-1000 on my 03 today and it blew the cap off me filter canister. Will it halp if I get the billet cap from geno's? Can I use the factory filters still? Do I need to put in a filter befrone the pump? Any help or info on using this pump would be great thanks, Chris. :{

I would set the regulator to 15 lbs and you need to run a large return line to the tank. That pump is way over kill for that application.

It's ok for everything except the stock fuel filter canister... ;)

Seriously, you need a regulator or some type of bypass to bleed off excessive pressure as stated already... And not to bust your stones, but ya gotta do a little research on the subject before you go messing with something like the fuel system... There's tons of threads out there on this subject. Good luck, the Aeromotive is one heck of a pump, for sure... :D

btw- it seems that 30psi is the limit for the filter/canister. Keep it at 20psi and you'll be good to go...

This is the Aeromotive Regulator that I was told by Aeromotive to use. You will need to use -AN adaptors to make it work.

I ran a 8-AN line back to the fuel filler hose and it's been working great for about 10,000 miles now. Pressure never drops below 14 PSI and regulator is set for the max. at 15 PSI.

If you have any questions I would be happy to try and help.

Thanks so much. I made the mistake of listening to an individual at my local drag strip, thats what got me into this mess. Thanks for all the help.
