First post here, just joined, but have been lurking for a long time.

I have read most of the posts on the Aeroturbine Muffler and TAG and decided to try them out. Put the TAG in before the exhaust was done and did not notice that much difference at all, but I am running a Ram Air III for the last 20k and that had already taken up quite a bit of the spool up issues I think. Did not take the TAG out to see if there was a difference, may try that soon.

The day before Xmas I replaced the down pipe with 4" from the turbo and installed the Aeroturbine just behind the cross member under the transmission, installed 4" all the way to the tailpipe where I had cut it off the muffler and a SS tip on the tailpipe. Man does this thing sound awsome now and a serious SOP performance gain (best yet and feels like it will out run my buddies SO Auto with his EZ on Level 3), finally this thing can breath and I can hear it breathing. Noise is not too loud, with most of the sound going out the rear, the cab noise is not too noticeable at all. My fuel gauge seems to moving a little slower now too, but I will not know how much until the next fill up in a week or so. Have not towed with it since the exhuast but can't wait to see what it will do.

Thanks to Dave at Diesel Power Products for his support and advice. This started out as an experiment that I thought would be too loud, but its a keeper.

Now I am just waiting for the new boxes to come out and I can play a little more.

The TAG is probably working more now that the exhaust is opened up. One trick to getting results from the Aeroturbine seems to be to place it as far forward in the exhaust as possible. This helps to improve the Aeroturbine's effect and helps to reduce drone issues. Glad you like the system.

As for the new boxes, they will be with us soon. We expect to see the Edge Juice and Banks Six-Gun shortly after the first of the year.

Yeah Dave, thats what I did. Put the AeroT at the end of the new down pipe and went on from there to the tailpipe with straight pipe. Welded everything up nice and it sounds great. This put the AeroT about where the CAT was (oops did I say that out loud?) which would be about under the front passenger seat. I don't hear any noise or rumble in cab from the muffler, only the noise coming out the back and it is a sweet sound to my ears.

As far as the TAG goes, I put it in to make a quick tow before I did the exhuast to see if there was a fuel savings, went about 300 miles with less than 10k lbs, some slow road and some open freeway. Hit a pretty good head wind that probably did not help, and I did not see any gain. It felt like it gave me some low end grunt that I did not have before, but otherwise not much different. I am thinking that with the exhaust now opened up things might change, both with fuel savings and tug, that is if I can keep my foot out of it.
