I have a 11 plate and a 16cfm turbo housing installed thanks to Don M. I have have the star wheel adjusted as far forward as possible and for as much smoke as possible. Well I decided to adjust the star wheel for less smoke and better milage. It seems now the Egts rise quicker with out as much power. Is this right?

I would have figured it wouldn't have been hot.

(Don M did you get your shipping $ yet?)

Dennis,

I have wondered how you were getting along with the goodies I sent up. Hope they are causing a few smiles now and then and some smoke too. :D

The AFC housing should have given more smoke and power the further forward toward the enigine you rotated it. I have never seen one make more power with a tighter AFC setting.

This is strange. Anyone else have any ideas whats up on this?

Don~

Thanks Don

I wouldn't say that by moving it back gave it more power, but it did give it higher egts.

I really enjoy the #11 plate but I'm not sure why I can only get 31 lbs of boost with it. I've loosened up and moved all the intercooler connections. I'm really trying to get the best milage I can. About the best I can get is 18 and thats really driving very very conservitive, and not over 55. Is it possible for a cat to cause poor milage?

Dennis

I was thinking about this today and the winter blend fuel you guys have up there may be causing the low mileage.

Thje winters I have spent in Idaho the mileage has suffered quite a bit in my truck. Try a tank of straight number 2.

Don~

Unfortunatly, I try to use only #2, But that being said, I don't know if they treat #2 up here to some extent as well. Some would say they do.
