Resealed the pump last night and made some adjustments... I broke the banjo for the AFC, So I plugged it And now shes real laggy. Whats the thread size on this little gem? Thanks in advance. .

I have noticed just the opposite. Super throttle responce and loads ofsmoke when the throttle is applied at almost any RPM.

Are/is you pump set to the factory standard of fuel flow? I don't use the AFC function myself and have removed it on other trucks as well.

You trying to make the DPuckett home/cheap repair or you like maybe I send you a fitting perhaps? Are the threads buggared?

A Totally Unsolicited Response

Hi. I have had the Greenleaf method of removing random parts from my truck and it runs gooder than ever. I don't understand what they do anyway, so I just let him take stuff off. I concur with his assessment of how it runs without the AFC.

And now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Random removal of parts????? The HORROR of it all!!!!:eek: No wonder I can't see the ground from the Atlantic to the big muddy from 30k feet!! :-laf:-laf

The things YOU guys do to your poor trucks!

mykal41, the AFC spring is not letting the rack move to fuel it. Take the spring out and see how much smoke and spool will happen. ;)

I believe DP said 1/8 pipe fitting would work with a couple wraps of teflon tape.

The thread is 8mm 1. 0 pich . I ran to the hardware store and drilled it out. . Worked fine. The pump was set pretty much to stock after the rebuild. However after I fixed the afc, I bottomed out the star wheel dropped the smoke adjust and ground the fuel pin... When the Hx35-40 lights she moves. . I have PODS and the hx-35-40 keeps the smoke down to a haze at full throttle.

It only builds 30lbs of boost so I think I have a leak somewhere. I am running a 1st gen intercooler. It has to be leaking somewhere. .

The boost is directly related to the fuel flow which is directly related to the load imposed on the engine. If you have only 30 lbs of boost, then yopur not loading the engine or you don't have fuel flow.

When at WOT w/the POD's and the HX35-40 you have only haze? You gots to get more fuel.

In your opinion, what should my boost levels be. I have a pretty tight converter. So it has to be fuel related. I have the fuel screw in to just about runaway. Maybe I need a 14mm head:-laf

I don't know what size exhaust housing you have and how big your muffler is etc.

A large housing like the 21 or 18-five would develop right near 40 psi with an empty truck/open intake and exhaust system.

Sorry for the lack of info. I have a 14cm housing non gated. As for exhaust... . I took the MBRP system of my 05 duramax. It fit like a glove. I run a source automotive 4" downpipe to a full 4" system.

You just don't have the fuel running through the POD's as you could. No worries there. That 14 casting would put you well into 45/50 psi range when you load the engine.

I worked a pump over for a friend who destroyed the turbine wheel with a 14 and a hot set of injectors. He started loosing boost and we found out why. Little wonder there.
