AFC can't open

I put a new plate in my truck and wanted to adjust the star wheel but i can't get the screw top off the AFC. I tried with an allen and oil but it just wont budge. Has anybody else had this problem before and any ideas how I can get in there to adjust the star wheel. I put some serious force on it and it wouldn't budge. Bent the allen wrench pretty good. Thanks

They can be tight little SOB's. Use an allen head socket style with a good rachet or breaker bar & watch you don't drive your left elbow into the battery #ad

Rap on the top of the plug a few times with a hammer. Then use an 8mm or 5/16" allen bit, extension, and long breaker bar. Or, a long arm allen wrench and a long cheater on it.

All I had was an allen wrench, so I slipped a small pipe over it. I thought for sure it would break it, but it did come off.

A small amount of heat (careful) generally helps to break bolts loose. The aluminum pump will have a higher thermal expansion than the steel plug. Have you tried it with the engine hot?
