a friend and I are going to take the AFC housing off and do some plate mods, what do you use in place of those screws (or brake off bolts) when you take the housing off? Just some more from a hardware store or something? I've looked at it and it doesnt look hard, i just hate running back and forth 10 times for BS parts. What all does it take to take apart and put back together the housing?

Just take one of the long and short screws to the hardware store. Standard metric thread, but I don't remember what exactly it is. I used the allen head screws for mine.

I went and purchased new bolts. I started looking at the neat little bolt with no head. This looks to be challanging seeing how there is no real way to get at it without taking the injector lines and intake off. I'm pretty sure I can hammer something into the middle of it, but again, I cant get a straight shot at the thing... ... . Any ideas?

Seems Like I sheered mine off with a sharp screwdriver and removed the shaft with needle nose pliers or needle nose vice grips.

For those screw lengths MAKE SURE you have a lock washer and flat washer on. It needs them for the right depth.

Got the lock washers and regular washers! I don't like sheering things off, especually in a truck that has everything put on top of the motor as an afterthought. But then again, I have short patients so we'll have to see where this leads us! I'm taking everyones comments into thought! THanks for the info, keep it coming please!

I routinely remove one injector line and move it out of the way when ever I go into the the top of the pump. Removing the bracket that holds all the lines together also helps. The opened line seems to purge quickly upon starting without removing the injector end.
