what is the purpose of an AFC spring kit?

You get more gradual low boost smoke control instead of going from no fuel to giant burst of power from the stock setup. It's a real nice mod for $35 or whatever they are now. It also allows sliding the AFC forward to accomodate more rack travel with big plates. Craig
