Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Upgrades for next summer trip

If I losen my starwheel too much (or move it forward), can it affect performance in a negative way. I'm just curious if I am putting to much fuel to low. I am trying to get more power from the low end. Thanks

What I did with mine was just adjust it either forward or back and then took it for a drive to see if it's what I liked. If not then I'd go whichever direction it needed. The further forwards you go with it the more fuel it will add and to much fuel can be just that... to much.

What else do you have done? If you don't have any other performance upgrades done, I don't think that you will get to much fuel on the bottom end.

If you are just running a 215 pump with stock injectors and a plate, you might wanna run the "medium" TST afc spring.

I have tried all 3, and with stock injectors, the medium one worked great when it was set up right. With the big EDM sticks, I like the stock 100 in/lb spring the best.

Def dont do the light spring... its smoky and pretty much impossible to make it allow max rack travel, while limiting low end smoke and controlling mid range fuel.

I had it adjusted to pretty lose, to the point where the starwheel was to the very front of the hole plug. This morning I moved it back to roughly the middle of the hole and noticed from idle to 1800 rpm is laggin and then the turbo winds up and gets a kick in the rear. I want to move it back forward a little, but don't want to pour to much fuel at low rpm's.

I do have a tst#12 plate in the middle. My goal over winter is to get this truck built into a better pulling truck as I have a trailer on 50% of the time.
