Anyone have any reviews or information on the performance of AFE performance air filters?

thanks for any information.....

I believe that Joe D. did an extensive test with aftermarket air filters, the report is in issue 36 ??? I read this somehwere, having a senior moment right now. I recall reading that the AFE was the king of the hill. Maybe I just dreamed it  .

I have an AFE that was given to me by Smokin Deisel when I ordered my EZ ( it was a special promo). I think it flows as good as the K & N and it looks like a better made filter in the seal area. I have just had a oil sample come back with 10 K on the oil and it showed 3 on the silicon. I am happy with that.

I am running an AFE filter in my SCOTTY 2 housing and it is great. I switch to it quite a while back after I sealed the back side of the Scotty 1 and it colapsed the K&N RE-0880 filter the AFE takes being sealed and filter very well. With 20K on this filter and 60K on the oil I had only 6 silicon on my last oil check.

AFE is a great filter and is even better when inside the SCOTTY 2 housing!!!!!:D :D

I have an AFE in the stock air box with four 1. 5" holes drilled in the bottom of the air box the and fender to air box snorkle is removed. Power seems up a tad and comes on quicker. Post airfilter passages and turbo blades are spotless after 20K , so I'm happy with it.
