AFE intake for 4.5

DOes anyone know if AFE is offering the intake system for the 4. 5's?

Do a search on this topic, I remember reading a while back that someone was in contact with AFE and they were in the final stages of development for the 600's. They also stated a wait time of around 60-90 days for completion. Also, I remember the reason why the intakes for the 555's wouldn't work is because it had something to do with contacting the hood. Hope this helps.

Is there currently an intake system for the new Cummins 325/600 engine in the Dodge Ram? If not, when can we expect it? I run a lot of highway miles, loaded and empty, and need more air flow. Thanks, Olen Carney



What year and model is the vehicle?





2004. 5 Dodge Ram 3500. The engine is a mid year release to comply with specific EPA standards, hence the 04. 5 model.





We are working on this, but it will not be released for about 60-90 days.

I have already waited a month, and it should take another 4 weeks at least.

They have the same air boxes. My K&N intake kit works awesome and it came with a new intake tube from the filter to the turbo. Cost is less than AFE with a torque tube.

AFE

The AFE does NOT fit in the 600. It hits the hood due to the silencer mat.



I bought one and just cut an inch off the top of the housing and it's fine.

It's easier to just cut the hood blanket. It's the only difference on the 04. 5
