just received mine from Mr Bobs and have had in only for a few days. no difference yet except for a slight turbo whine which I like

Did you replace the complete intake system or just the air filter?I put there air filter in several months and as you said there not much difference just little more whine. But this is the complete system.

I put in the complete kit as that is the only way Bob sells it and as I'm in the sunny part of oregon, haha, lots of snow I thought the pre filter was a good idea. Still too early to tell what happens to mpg or egt's but will keep you posted. Cost about 3 bills but I felt it was worth it as I didn't want to do one of the "home" mods. They probably work as well but I like the look. As someone said on this forum why be cheep on a $33k to $40k truck

I ordered one for a friend and it came yesterday. I did not look at it as not to get it wet from drool. I probably will get one for my truck being I need more air. I love the pictures. SWEET!

AFE Megacannon

I got mine yesterday and installed it last night. No big performance gain in the SOP meter. As Marc said, I can hear the turbo whine more. I think it will be benificial with the fueling enhancements I have planned for my truck in the near future. :D

Those of you with the AFE system installed, can you determine if the enclosure walls are tall enough to mate with the underside of the hood.

I have seen pictures of other systems and the AFE looks much taller than they do (just comparing the walls to the battery next to it).

From what I can tell it looks like the AFE does the best job of keep out hot engine compartment air. Just trying to confirm.
