I recieved my AFE Torque Tube today and went to the shop and put it on. ;) It looks great. I will try to get a couple of pictures tonight and post them tomorrow. With the little bit of driving I was able to do I think the sound will be fantastic. The turbo wistle sounds great. :p

O. K. I need to know, What is a torque tube. I have been holding out on an AFE Filter until they come out with a complete package from filter to turbo.

Is this the tube to replace the factory silencer tube?

Don

I will check for the images tomorrow.

dkosheba,

The torque tube replaces the factory rubber elbows and plastic silencer tube. So it is basically an airbox to turbo replacement for the factory piping.

Excellent,

Now, where is the best place to get one?

I will call Geno's soon to order one of these along with the complete AFE system.

But before I do, do you think this tube will fit a Scotty III. Too many options.

Don

I've been removing my factory tube to get at the oil filter from the top, How difficult will this one be to remove to do the same thing?

So besides looking nice when you open the hood, does it provide any "feel-able" performance enhancement? I'm really interested in getting one, but wanted to know what the people with first hand experience had to say about it first.

i dont care about hp numbers threw the intake... bigger turbo, injector and a chip will take care of that. . I just want the turbo to be as loud as possible... :)

Nick

I went out and got pictures today. So far I am pleased with it. I still have my turbo ring in and you can really hear the turbo sing. You also hear the compressor wheel but it is not bad. As far as feel the power I am not sure if I can say you can "feel the power" the dyno would be a better place to see that. I think it should cut down on the amount of drag in getting air to the turbo.

ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!!

There are you happy now!?! You left me no choice but to order one.

dkosheba and to anyone else who is interested, I ordered mine from Con at Con's Performance Chips ( 208-431-0835 -- email address removed -- ) . He's a good guy, I ordered a couple other things from him in the past, he has very competitive pricing, you may want to check him out.

Don't feel bad. I too broke down and ordered one this afternoon. I feel that it just "belongs" with the Magnum Force intake that is already on my truck, Kinda like peanut butter and jelly :D .

Looks sweet... . I'm very tempted to order one now. However, no one has answered xcx's question about whether or not an aftermarket turbo will hook up to the AFE torque tube. Any chance we can get a close up pic of the point where the tube meets turbo? Lastly, what's the roundabout price I should expect to pay for the tube?? Thx, Steve

So far I really love it. The turbo really wistles. I do think that it allows the turbo to spool up just a little faster. The truck feels like is comes on alittle quicker.

Hey "Stephen Thomas" I would bet to say that it will probably fit on an aftermarket turbo. If the factory piece workds on an aftermarket turbo this is going to work also. It has a big solid rubber tube in the shape of a 90 at the bottem that connects to the Torque Tube and to the turbo.

Hey "SRadke" how in the heck did you get the pictured to show on your reply.
