I was reading the literature in Geno's Catalog. Do these things really give a "deep big rig sound" or is this just marketing hype. If anyone has one I'd like to hear your impressions.

I Just Put On A Cool Blue Hose , I Can Hear The Turbo Alot More Than Stock Airtube , I Hope When I Go Bigger Turbo That I Ll Hear It Even More.

I have one on my 01 attatched to an aFe stage 1 and HBT2 62/12. No difference in sound, it's just a "cleaner" look over the accordian rubber stocker. If you want more noticeable turbo drill a 4" hole in the cowl.

BTW, I use the "dial-up" thread and can't see what year your truck is, so if you're 3rd gen. , disregard the hole in cowl stuff.

I put one on my 04 with a stage 2. I did not notice any difference when I added the torque tube. I rarely hear my turbo.

I've just put a AFE stage two kit in. Made a big difference from the stock intake. You can hear the turbo alot more. Doesn't compare to the big rig though.

Cool Blue Hose, PSM cool air intake, Amsoil drop in... . I`m very pleased, not too loud but you can hear the turbo spool up faster! It cooled my EGT`s.

i had the afe pro guard 7 and torque tube. the whistle was unbarible!(i'm 32 years old). i took of the TT and put the stock one back on. much better. i didnt notice a big drop in temps with the TT over stocker either. maybe just the TT and stock airbox with a drop in filter isnt loud but with a PG7 it will drive you crazy!

I had my AFE Stage 1 intake on for quite awhile for the torque tube came out, & I didn't notice any difference. It does look better than the stock tube.
