I have an year 2007 2500 with a g5600 with only 46000 miles and the clutch is slipping. I do not want an oe clutch from napa or carquest, so does any body have any suggestions for a cheaper after market clutch suitable for pickups. Something that will withstand 350 hp and 750 ft lbs.

Research Southbend Clutch and Valair for a start.

ELG,

Just to help you to not confuse anyone, your 2007 has the G56 transmission. This code can be seen in the case. It can be identified easily by the alloy cases and the reverse position is left and back. The older 6 speed was the NV5600 and used a cast iron case and was used to about mid 2005, reverse was right and forward.

im getting my dads truck done right now. it is costin about 750 for the SB clutch an about 600 labor. clutch will hold 450hp/900tq

the biggest issue w/ the stock one is the dual mass flywheel. all of the south bend units come w/ a new solid flywheel. if you are doing alot of heacy towing you might want to look into an econo dual disc clutch. other wise just for normal daily driving a single disc will be fine. let me know if you need any help.
