I have been reading many posts about 2 inherent and obvious weaknesses in my new Ram... the torque convertor (easily upgradeable) and the fuel lift pump. Is there a manufacturer that makes an aftermarket lift pump that is more reliable than the stock unit? If so, who and how much? Just curious 'cause I may want to change that unit out someday. #ad

I have a lift pump for sale

B... ... ... ... ... .

not many people desire my lowly 01 lift pump

give this some time, everyone is working on this one
you could always go HVAC style

I have used the Holley 12-815 with good results. I now use the Mallory 140 series which is a gerotor design. Some folks feel the gerotor may be a better pump as compared to the sliding vane style pump. You might also check for a better version of the oem Carter. Mounting will be an issue with something other then the Carter. I suggest fastening the pump to the frame.

since i'm a firm believer in pre-emptive strikes, (do unto others, then split) does the OEM pump have a limited life, or is this upgrade just for big fueling?---if so, what-all, in terms of lines, fittings, etc, would a non-wired, properly valved Prime-Loc'ed P7100 need?

Rich, the problem being experienced with the "New Wave" Ram seems to be the funky lift pump (life span of a mosquito), the banjo fittings and bolts(hydraulic jungle gym) on the filter housing, lift pump, and injector pump.

The dozen valved horsepower emporers do not report any problems with their oxen powered, paddle equipped diesel irrigation system #ad
