I kinda found one I like but want input form all of you that are in the know and /or have experience in aftermarket hoods. Anyone that had a bad experience or great experience buying aftermarket hoods? Please , don't hold back... .

I found this one by Reflexxions, that I like, but am not sure I have looked at all that is available on the markets. Pics welcome as well as input. I am kinda looking for a hood similar to the AAR Cuda', or similar to the SRT 10 hood only for my 2nd Generation truck. Any help is appreciated.

I have that hood without the duct. . see signature for pic on rig

good hood... all hoods require some "fitment" adjustments and paint. . otherwise good comments and looks from folks

I'd do it again. .

member here Doug Holfeldt [sp?] does real nicesteel hoods also. . do a search and find him, worth the time !

I love my air bulldog hood but I don't think the guy makes them anymore. When I got mine he said it was probably the last one he was going to do because of health issues. Mine is a fully functional ram air, pics in reader's rigs.

I too have a Reflexxion hood, it's a steel cowl induction-2nd design. There isn't many choice's when it's come to steel hoods. I went with their new design cowl hood without the duct in the middle. I just wanted a clean line and the opening in the middle didn't appeal to me. The hood did fit very nice, they actually use the stock OEM hood panel, just fit it to a new outer skin. I like the steel, it's strong and everything the stock hood had bolts right back up to it, latches, padding, etc. The big thing to look out for is hoods being sold on E-bay that are dented. Seems getting one delivered safely is a problem for the stores, many end up dented and get returned, these get re-sold as damaged goods which others sell off on E-bay. I actually had my first hood come in damaged, I refused delivery and had a new one sent out. They are just so big and vulnerable. I went to Stylin Customs for my hood, they are a great place for parts and treat you good. Have fun with your new hood and post a picture of it later.

I have had to slow down but I still make hoods.

I have gotten some very good data on how well the ram air works on my hoods through one of the TDR members that bought one of my hoods. When he is done getting the data he will post his findings.
