Hello Fellow Bombers,

It is always good to report on a good product and good service. I installed Power Vision mirrors about 9 months ago. The driver side mirror developed a flat spot in the middle of the return and extend. The rack and gear were not working right. I called Power Vision and they said sent it in for repair as they have one day turn around on repair and warranty. The total turn around was about a week, the repair was done the same day the mirrors were received.

I love the Power Vision mirrors, they work well and do not shake on rough roads.

Job well done by Power Vision.

I will hopefully be installing my Lucerix mirrors tomorrow. I hope the expected drop of 1-2 miles per gallon due to wind drag from hanging these big rascals will be worth it!

Lucerix

Dan,

I've had my Lucerix mirrors about 9 months and like them a lot. Two things. I think the passenger mirror ought to be able to extend about one more inch so you can see cleanly down the side of whatever you are towoing. The other thing is vibration. Even at medium speeds with the mirrors retracted, I think there can be too much vibration - when the wind is right, etc. And I mean over smooth roads. I'd like to hear of your experience with them.

Got the mirrors on

Well, got the mirrors on, with minimum amount of cursing, even from my wife who was helping me ;) Took them cruising and it is going to take some getting used to, they are so much bigger than the factory mirrors. I live in the country on dirt roads and I noticed zero vibration. Now, I haven't driven with them in the extended position yet, I may see some vibration then but even at highway speeds, I'm not seeing any vibration at all. As far as the mirror extending a little more, hell I'll be doing good not to knock them off in the RETRACTED position LOL  Now vibration, my mirror extenders that I had to use when towing with the factory mirrors, now THAT'S what I call vibration!

You're right about not being able to see down the side of what you're pulling. I figure if the housing was pushed forward about 1/4" and the mirror could be turned in slightly, then you would be able to see the side of your trailer. I've had mine installed about 6 months and 16,000Km and if they do vibrate I sure don't notice it. They work well and I'm very pleased with them.

Makes the truck look like Dumbo the elephant. Maybe if you could change that vibration into a flap the truck would fly, get better fuel mileage too :D :D :D
