2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission after market outside temp gauge

I thinking about installing an aftermarket outside temp guage in my 02 QC. Anyone have any ideas on the best place to mount the outside probe ?

I think the stock location is in the grill. A factory service manual would yield the truth. Also, I would hope the manufacture of the thermometer would offer mounting suggestions and a long enough wire to make it work.



I'd like to hear about your project as I do not have the SLT+ package either and my wife misses the outside thermometer like we have in the ZJ.

The factory option usually mounts on the inner cooler bracket. Works great when your moving not so good when idling in heavy traffic with the a/c on when its about 108 deg. F outdoors.



I'd still mount an aftermarket one here I think...

I have the Donnelly Rearview Mirror with built-in Compass and Thermomter. Mounted the temp. /probe by the grill, wire was long enough.

I bought it at Auto-One and had them install it. Should of done it myself as it is not a big job.
