I have an 06 and i am wondering what other options i have to used after market speakers, amp and subwoofers but keep the factory deck. I dont really want to use a JL cleansweep so i am curious to see what other options i have... Also is there a way to hook an ipod up to the factory radio without an fm transmitter?

Thanks

ok i already have it all changed out i appreciate the replies but i would like to put the factory deck back in for that "stock" look plus i really hate having 2 sirius antennas on my truck and i miss not being able to use the steering wheel controls :)

You can use the steering wheel controls with aftermarket decks. Any good stereo shop has the adapter. I'm using one to control my Alpine deck. Although I do understand why you'd want to keep the factory deck for aesthetic reasons. It's a royal pain getting an aftermarket deck to look factory. I still don't have my custom panel back from the wood grain shop.

well then the only thing i would need to worry about is the 2 antennas on top of my truck for sirius what can i do about that?

I don't understand the problem with the 2 antennas. Why would you have two antennas? Can't they either: (a) reuse the existing Sirius antenna or (b) remove it?

evidently they cant use the existing antenna and its bolted to the truck or something i dunno if there is a way can someone inform me how they did it?

I had an aftermarket Alpine put in my car with the Alpine Sirius box and it connected to the factory antenna with no problem. Just take the end sleeve off the antenna. Any good shop should be able to do the work for you. The Sirius radio is located in the dash - I think behind the factory radio on the 2006. That is where mine was located. I later switched to XM radio and was still able to use my factory antenna.

In a nutshell, you do not need another antenna, just use the one you have on top of the truck.
