Ya want to see something funny give these stupid drivers in cali any kind of weather other than sunny and sit back have a cold one and you will be amsused all day! Snow; 1/2 inch of snow and they start shutting down roads and fwys. Rain; seems they forget about all the oil that is on the road from the past few yrs of no rain and they are all in a hurry and kapow! fog; Yep first thing they do is crank up the ol' high beams and wonder why they can't see 3 feet in front of them! got more but you get the point!

Catoiler, I know what you mean. I come from British Colombia and people up there know how to drive on snow better than on dry roads. Just last weekend when we got this snow on the pic they shut the freeway down over the grapevine. This snow is about gone around here already.

Yeah, it's doing it again here! First some ice stuff that's like shoveling sand, then freezing rain, now the Noreaster is here. Tonite it goes back to plain old lake effect! About 4-6 inches so far.

We had our first good snowfall of the year. Woke up to 12 inches on the ground in the low spots this morning :D . Headed into church and my wife asked why I was taking the back road instead of the main road that would be more likely to be plowed already - told her that noone would get in our way down this road! Took us about 3 extra minutes on a half hour drive to get there. Had sections of road several hundred feet long that were about 3 feet deep and had a blast. I love winter!

Well I was wrong! That fine stuff adds up faster than you realize. I went out to plow and there was 10-12 inches out there! Heavy stuff too. Time to move south for the winter! :-laf
