aftermarket 24v valve springs?

does anyone know where to find aftermarket set of springs? I am not talking about spending $600 for a set. There has to be some out there that we do not know about. Spending that much money for a set of springs is ridiculous. I have my head at the machine shop now and he said that is just stupid paying that much for springs when there are really only 2 companies that actually make springs. Any help would be appreciated.

comp cam inner spring , i havnet got the part# but there the same size and are about 10 to 20lbs stiffer , could call comp and give them the specs

Ranged from 70 to 72 when I checked mine.



I have heard as low as 58 on a 24v, but somewhere in the middle 60's is what they need to be.

Both, they all came out about the same.

what is the installed height? I heard or read that it is like 1. 700" ? Does that sound right?

there's no more info on the sheet I have ---I think Height 1 is installed height, but I really don't know if that's 100% true-------I just measured my oem springs and they're like 1. 875" long(free length), so with that info that's why I think that Height 1 is installed---but again I haven't measured them in the truck so I can't be 100% sure---yet again maybe 1. 33" is where valves start to open and the Height 2 is coil bind----chris

I don't know as the new pricing info hasn't been released as of yet---it's to be less than last year is all I know for now---they have received at least one very large order which is to drive the cost down is what I've been told, but until it's posted on the dealer site or they email me(which they are to do) you will be quoted last year's price and I'd wait until I can confirm new pricing---chris
