I guess that's why the have it listed for "OFF ROAD USE ONLY" in red lettering near bottom of description! A racing harness to keep you away from it would be a must!

While I have heard of a couple with cracks lately, typically the '94-'97 dashes don't give problems, at least not like the '98-'02's that crumble into nothingness.....

Your legs an arms can and will hit the dash in case of a crash.
I would rather have the dash shattered then knees and hip and everything that connects them.

But that's your decision, I'm fine with that.

I can't argue with you. Because you are correct. What I had in mind with the shattering issue was skin lacerations, which can be serious to fatal. My wife was permanently disfigured by a windshield as a teen in a pre-seat belt car.

Yes I'm really sorry for taking all the fun out of an idea which looks great at the first sight.
I've just seen to many accidents through my lifetime as a professional driver.

And it's so often not even "our" decision because we all think that we are safe drivers - but if someone oncoming swerves into your lane then you are in gods hand. Which happened to me just lately in a tight corner and just with a fast reaction I avoid a crash by going over the shoulder. And it wasn't even "me", just the lizard brain* sent the right info into the system without me even thinking about what to do.
