I have a 2003 2500 and I would like to put on some aftermarket cab lights. Does anyone know of any do-it-yourself kits that have a stencil and are compatible with the stock wiring harness of the truck. I don't want to do any splicing or cobbeling to this truck. Thanks for the great site!

I just checked my '03, 3500's clearance lights and there is no manufacturers name on them. I did, however, buy a set of "Cab Marker Lights" that go on the second gen. trucks for my '91 dodge. They were made for Dodge by Peterson Manufacturing Co. , 4200 E. 135th St. , Grandview, MO. 64030. (Don't have a phone # for you. Sorry). At the time, I got these as a package of five model # V120KA. They were about $25. 00 for the 5 light kit. From Dodge, they were almost $100. 00. These are the identical lights. Shows you how much of a mark-up Dodge has. I wouldn't be surprised if Peterson is making the new lights, also. I bought these lights at a place called The Lighthouse (is Phoenix, AZ. ), phone # 602-272-8077, 1502 N. 29 Ave. These people specialize in lighting for the trucking and auto industry. They may be able to help you if no one in your area can. Hope this helps. Joe F. (Buffalo).

The kit form Dodge has a stencil showing exactly where the drill (yes, you must drill) and has the wiring diagram to hook everything up. The last time I did a set was back in 95 and the wiring wasn't in place. The wiring harness that came with the lights was long enough to run down the A-pillar to a junction box under the dash where it plugged in. Don't know if it's the same way now.

If you can't find a kit with a stencil for your truck (not a one-size-fits-all thing) I would buy the kit from Dodge, even if it costs more money. It's difficult to fix the roof if you don't drill in the right place.
