When I bought my truck, I had the dealer install a keyless entry system in it. Well after about a year of use, it won't lock the truck from the remote. Very annoying. I have tore apart my dash and looked every where for this keyless module. Does anyone know where they would stick this thing. I cant find it anywhere.

It is a HARADA two button model if that helps.

Thanks Jason

Steering column?

I added the EVS a few years ago to mine. Can't remember exactly for sure, but seems like I had the shell around the steering column off and put something in there. I think I plugged it inline into the harness that went to the ignition switch.

Yes, look under dash start near Steering column and branch out your search from there..... You should find it quickly.

Found It!!

Well, I found the module. They put it in a cubby hole to the left of the parking brake. It is where the wires go through to the door.

The problem is not the batteries. That was my first thought, so i changed them. When I disconnected the wiring harness, all the terminals where coroded. So I cleaned them up with sand paper, and tried again. Still no go. So I took it back out and took the cover of the module. Well not only are the terminals coroded, but the entire circuit board is coroded. Looks to have gotten wet. Im now trying to work this out with the dealer to get it replaced. In my opinion, this module was placed in the wrong place by the installer, and they should cover it. Well See.
