used take off rims 18" 2016 2500

Wife is cornering me on Christmas gift so I was thinking about replacing the 5" stereo in the 2018 dually. Does anyone have experience with the ebay units that range in size from 9 to 11"?
Thanks in advance

Depends on what you want to do with it, if your still using FM or even AM I'd stay away from them, reception isn't great from what I heard.
For everything else these Android units are pretty good and easy to use.
Just check the reviews on Amazon what buyers tell you about 'em.

2018 here and had 8.4 radio. It started to delaminate and no way I was paying $1800 for a new one, etc. And honestly, it terrible as a stereo so I replaced it with an Alpine head unit, etc. However the biggest issue is tying the radio into the can-bus since it controls a lot of things and settings. I used Pac audio which came with a center console trim package and replacement HVAC controls. This has the touch menu to show you to get at the can-bus settings, etc. It like OEM and cheaper than an OEM radio. I got it all from Crutchfield and installed myself in one afternoon. Been very pleased and certainly a circle option to the OEM stuff. PXL_20231223_134912843.jpg PXL_20231223_134742256.jpg PXL_20231223_134551837.jpg

Very nice, does it support Android auto ?
Indeed and car play. Only thing I lost was the compass and the USB charging port under the center console. But that really all counts on the radio you use. The tying into the can-bus is the biggest deal. I don't know of any radio that can actually do that but the pac audio addition really ties it all together to match whatever size radio you put in there. Been in for about 3 years and haven't had any issues. Even added an adapter to the USB port to go android wireless. Newer radios can do that but at the time I couldn't get one built in. Amazon sells the adapter for $60 and very nice.
