Recently I saw a second gen. with a hood that had a cowl induction style scoop on it. The scoop was mabye about 2 in. tall. Don't know if it was glass or steel. Has anyone any idea where to buy one? I have to get back to work so I will read any replies later.

Reflexxion is the only one I know of (repeat, the only one I know of) that has a steel replacement. I prefer to not use fiberglass.

fiberglass

I went with the fiberglass hood because it had a 3 and a half inch cowl that seems to stand out more with the size of our trucks. but beware i dont care what the salesman tells you there is no such thing as a "BOLT ON" fiberglass hood. I spent alot of time to get it to fit the truck and its still not perfect. :{

this is the Ram Air II hood that I installed on my truck, purchased it from Carhoods.com and is made by US body.

The Ram-2 is sharp looking but I not sure of fiberglass. I've seen replacement fenders and hoods that needed way to much finishing work to look good. I like the reflexxion probally the best so far.

your right, the fiberglass hoods do tend to need alot of finish work. Mine took about 20 hours of work to get it fitted to the truck properly and get all the little pin hole out of it. Ended up coating it in some kinda filler at the bodyshop to get rid of the pinholes. But I've no regrets with it.
