Aftermarket in dash nav for 07 truck

Looking for help in choosing a aftermarket in dash navigation / dvd unit. I have had the factory REC navigation unit and like it.



I have looked at the Pioneer and Eclipse units. Please post what you like.

I installed the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 about 5 weeks ago. Along with the IPOD interface, Backup Camera, and Bluetooth adapter. Might have been better off waiting for a Z2 but got impatient. They are identical hardware but updated maps.



Only complaint is an echo (on the other person end) with the Bluetooth. It's well documented and there are fixes that I've not yet inrcorporated. I don't really use the bluetooth much but it iss nice to be able to answer the phone without having to dig my phone out of my pocket. Otherwise I love it. Eveyone loves the rear view camera, and I can hitch up my trailers in one shot!

I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

the eclipse and alpine are both awesome units and the are easy to hook up so you can watch a dvd going down the road
