Aftermarket SS Exhaust oprions

I want to keep the cats and DPF, but want something louder for an exhaust sound.

had aftermarket on my first, provided by Ted jannety and loved the sound.

1989.5 24V

did nothing with my 2010.

now my 2020 lacks in sound!

Nothing’s going to give you the same sound you had with the after treatment devices that are on your truck.

I agree! I really wanted sound as well, but ran into the same answer as you.

Just get a recording of what the sound is you're looking for, and rig up a speaker system for it!
Not many choices with the emissions that are on our trucks. Just many "jewelry" for looks. You could try to find a good older candidate to play with.

you could remove the existing muffler entirely and the DPF will still keep it quiet.

who knows. I only know because I deleted my 2009 Ram 4500. when I reinstalled dpf, i left muffler off so I coul keep stacks...actually quieter than running just the muffler.

I am pretty sure 2012 was the last year of the muffler, SCR trucks don't have them.

I know my 2017 5500 doesn't have a muffler all that "stuff" has it fairly quiet.

My son replaced the tailpipe on his 15 years ago with 5" and it did give it a nice throaty sound.

Does your truck have one? I think that may be for exported trucks without SCR.

Does not appear to. It only has the two canisters, not three. This picture shows two systems, so maybe one system is the export parts list.

I can tell you it would have had an even better tone deleted. The OEM muffler on my 09 4500 looked like a Thrush turbo muffler with a 4" straight thru open tube thru it. I'll have to look through my old pics to see if I took pics of it. It's quite possible Ram didn't use the same DPFs on the C&Cs as the pickups.

A friend is missing a few exhaust parts. My Son suggested adding a Corsa to his resonator. It REALLY sounds great with no droning pulling his 24k DRV 5er.
