I am trying to find a Steering Stablizer for a 2001 2500 4x4 Diesel I have tried Auto zone and Napa neither of them has a part number.

Does anyone know of any that will fit my truck?

I guess if it comes down to it i will have to go to the Dealer and get one, Really dont want to do that unless it is my last option.

Rancho , Skyjacker

Try the Skyjacker dual set up, works real well. Checkout Jackit.com or Summit Racing they usually have what you need. Good luck. Best to call them, they can help especially Jackit.

Rancho # I think is still #5404

Skyjacker is SKJ7218

Thanks for the info,

I saw your reader rigs gallery Did you install the dual stabilizer Kit yourself, I checked out skyjackers website and looked up the installation instruction And it says.

*Some 3/4 and 1 ton models come equipped with a military front axle. These models carry a 3 3/4" axle tube. This steering stabilizer will not fit those applications.

Did you have any problems, I like the idea of dual kit but dont want to order it and then it wont work.

Thank's again

4WD Parts Wholesale

CJ--If Summit can't help you, try 4 Wheel Parts Wholesale. Use website to find your closest branch= www.4wheelparts.com

Looks like Tennessee is the closest to you, 901-332-5800, (Memphis). They carry Rancho, Skyjacker, ProComp. They found one for my '01 from ProComp, I bought from branch in Denver, had it in a day. If you're interested in duals, they can sure help you out there. ProComp stock replacement cost me $65 or therabouts. Happy wrenchin" Ron

Sorry but that is not a steering stableizer, that is the DSS steering brace. It is also a must for our trucks, I have it installed and it helps IMO. Not sure why they call it a stableizer on there site. Anyway that thing works great.

Jeepc if you plan to go with the dual set up try Jackit they will beat 4wheel price with ease and to me much faster service. They usually have them in stock, I think they run around $85 still. Yes I have the heavy duty axle and had to replace only the big axle U-bolts, this was easy. I just went down to the local hardware store and bought some bigger ones. With just this mod it will still work, the U-bolts that come with it are little to small. Easy install. The hardest part is removing the stock one, A ball joint tool will help with that. Good luck let us know how it goes... ... Later..... :D
