Aftermarket turbo benefits?

I'm looking to get the BD turbo soon. What kind of difference will I notice? I know a bigger turbo will lower EGTs, but power wise... is it a big difference. I'm looking to get a TST at the same time. How much louder is the whistle? The louder the better! I'm not looking to make a drag truck, but more of an all around fast tow vehicle that will beat a mustang. Would there be less smoke with the bigger turbo? I love blowing smoke on people who tail me and cut me off. I have just a lil bit of road rage at times.

Thats kind of a hard question to answer but I'll try. Every turbo is different and depending on what mods you have they will behave differently. I'll try to give you a general explanation.

A bigger turbo will lower egt's to a point

Whistle will probably be louder, depends on the turbo and your intake setup

There will probably be more smoke on the low end untill the turbo spools especially if your throwing lots of fuel at it.

I don't think there is 1 right answer cause of all the other bomb factors that will come into play -but hope this helps

BD's turbo spools pretty quick so there shouldn't be much smoke, and it still moves a lot of air to keep things cool. If I ever replace my factory turbo, BD is probably where I'll go. I'm no expert, but I think they were the first ones with the "extended tip" or whatever. Check out BD's Forum. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask. Are u talking about the new turbo? (The Super B Special turbo) BD matched this turbo to the tst with XXX injectors from what i have seen! Anybody know much about this turbo and how would it rate to the Phat Shaft turbos in the same catagory?
