Cummins tool kit!!!! Buy before there gone!

I just put an unopened tube of silicone caulk in the gun and though it kinda came out it was no good. Was about two years old. Also we finally had a little freeze this winter.

So, what products do you find susceptible to freezing. What products age rapidly? And, do some of your store things differently with these considerations in mind?

Obviously paint comes to mind. Freeze paint once and it's ruined.

I haven't had trouble with silicone or caulk, but usually the nozzle dries up into a perfect seal and I have to throw away 90% of the tube and buy a new one when I need the stuff.

I can't recall having any other particular difficulties with freezing stuff.

The silicone usually has a shelf life of a year. Most have dates on them. I have had a half case left over from when I built my house, about a year latter I went to use a tube, it had set up in the tube. After reading the directions on the tube, a first for me, it says to use with in a year of the date on the plunger. It was not the cheap no name stuff either, it was Dap.

We're supposed to read the instructions? I always thought instructions were what you read after spending two hours trying everything but the one thing the instructions could have told you two hours ago :-laf

Where I work we are a sprayer dealer for Deere and the sprayer "Anti-freeze" says not to allow it to freeze:confused:

So does the anti-freeze conditioner:confused:

I can only remember the stupid ones.

CRuth my boss spent all morning trying to figure out why this customers brand new planter monitor was not sensing seed (there was a mechanic from another one of our stores there). Turns out he finally asked how fast they were going. The sensors don't work below 2 mph and it says that in large print on the first page of the manual.
