Have a 99 dodge 59 cummins with edge with attitude etc airdog orginal model and every time the truck hits a pothole on I 95 the truck loses fuel presure and dies, let it sit and it starts up, does anybody know a general repair shop that is familar with the dodges and fass's and airdogs in the area we can get towed to??? The pump is coming on and build presure but when we take off again and go 15 miles it dies again, have checked connections, have full tank of diesel as well???? Its done this 10 times in the last 100 miles seems like, right now broke down at a Macdonads and have tried to find a diesel repair shop on cell phone search who could fix us at their shop, so far its too early to get anybody to answer the phone, we are in Lorton Virgina and need a shop phone number to call to get towed in for repairs, anybody got any leads thanks, we are going to get a new fuel filter asap and got the Fleetguard part numbers from a search on here to try that first and drain the water sperator, this was replaced when we left from Florida and went up north but we know all it takes is one bad fill up of diesel to wreck us andwe left the spare filters at homelol Thanks for any help, this truck has a new injection pump with 20,000 miles on it since replacement, the tank is full and we can see and hear the airdog coming on, I95 was full of deep ruff potholes and this started when we went thru them, have checked the battery connections and cleaned and tightened them last night, any ideas of whats wrong or a shop we can call or a wrecker to take it a dodge oriented shop in the Lorton Virgina??? Who can we call for service?? Thanks so much

You might have something in your tank that is plugging the pickup tube/stand pipe, or it's broke (potholes are causing it to pull air).

When it dies, can you bump the starter and hear the pump running? Does it sound normal?

When you restart, does it start right away or does it require more than usual cranking? If yes [starts right away], it sounds like either a bad relay, or bad connection (power or ground) that you might have missed. Try swapping relays.
