I've just recently installed an Air-Lift brand self-leveling bag system on my truck. This past weekend, I towed my 12K lb-loaded 5er 250 miles using the bags, and, simply put, the before-and-after difference is amazing. The bucking/jerking I previously experienced is almost completely gone, there was a slight decrease in sway, and my headlights now don't blind on-coming drivers. The overall towing feeling is so much better it's hard to describe. For those who tow, I'd recommend exploring this option for yourselves.

On my Ride-Rites I installed on the 07. 5 I also installed an auto lever system, sure wished I had done it to the 96 14 years ago. Now I don't have to do it manually ever again. It sure does make a difference to just hook up and go and not futz around getting things level.

Garlic,

Amen to what you said about not having to worry about leveling. While I suspect other brands' leveling systems also have this feature, mine will also let air out automatically if the bed ride height exceeds a pre-determined level. I especially like the fact that I got this high-$ system from a friend for $100 when he decided to trade in his truck!
