Weight Equalizing Hitch ??

I want to add some air bags on my 2500 but heres the problem I have the reese fw hitch the brackets that mount on the frame are on the outside over the axle the air bags have to be mounted on the outside over the axle to.

This means I will have to drill through the hitch bracket to mount the air bag bracket and it would throw it out of line about a half a inch from the mount is this ok?

How are you guys running bags with hitch brackets on the outside of the frame any ideas??

On my 96 I mod'ed the air bag brackets to fit and moved the bag slightly so that they set parallel with the spring. I also run 0 psi when unloaded, they were installed so the relaxed state of the bag is what I set the mount height to. It took about an hour and I used a cordless drill to do the hole drilling. For those that say they need 5 psi min. I will state that after 170,000 miles and 13 years they preform as well as they did when I installed them. I have had them inflated to 125 psi also, when I was hauling some gravel to the house, the truck sat slightly nose high and the brakes don't work too good at that weight (scale ticket claimed 11,281#)
