Have a second problem.

The air bag light is on and the radio and cruise control buttons are not working. The horn is working.

I have checked all the fuses in the dash & under the hood, can't find a fault.

This fault occurred after I unplugged the rear wheel abs sensor and left it unplugged, to test the abs fault I have. I forgot it was unplugged and backed the boat trailer in to the sea!! I don't know if this as any relevance?

I have spoken to a dealership and they mentioned the 'clock spring' may be faulty and stopping the power getting to the steering wheel, BUT why does the horn still work.

I live in the UK and we have limited Dodge dealerships, so any help would be great.

Similiar problem - and replacing the clockspring was the answer. Did it myself (pulled the airbag fuse) in about an hour just taking my time.

I agree with Oly.

My Ford had the same problem. Horn worked but the cruise and air bag were inop. The clock spring was starting to come apart in one area. Leave it long enough and your horn will stop working. Fairly easy fix.

There was a recall by DC for this on certain year trucks. My 01 was one of them and was fixed by dealer. Your vin # will supply the dealer with any recalls necessary.
