Air Bag light…

Hey everyone. My air bag light started coming on a few months ago. It would go on and stay on with the dinger going off every minute or so. Got a new clock spring and installed it and everything was good. Well, the other day it cam on again. Light goes on after 10 minutes of driving, dinger dings 4 times but no more after that. Faulty clock spring?

I had an issue on my 2008 with an intermediate air bag light coming on and off recently. My issue was a loose battery cable on one battery post. I know the third gens do not play will with an electrical issue on the truck.

Earlier on my third gen about 2014, I had all sorts of electrical gremlins when I was having a battery fail (low voltage output). This was a 5 to 6-year-old battery replaced both of them and my issues went away at the time.

So, what I am getting at is to check your electrical connections from the battery to your grounds plus how old are your batteries. If it is near time to replace them have them load checked and see if they are at the end of their life. Replace if required and see if this solves your issues.

There may be other issue but go for the easiest first.
