air bag recall?

My 2003 Ram 3500 has a recall on the airbag for the passenger side. I am not fond of taking my truck to a Dodge dealership. I understand the manufactured airbag may be defective. My truck runs very good and gets 21mpg empty and the transmission shifts good. My truck is stock and I don't want them to refresh the computer. What are they going to actually do to resolve this airbag recall?

The inflator only will get replaced if it has the affected julian date on the inflator.No one wants to flash your truck for free.......

I had it done, and they did not flash my truck. I am happy and my truck still runs good.
