Air bag switch again

Got the switch and bezel with the hole in it (my parts guy ordered me a solid one we had to return). The appointment is tomorrow with the dealer to teach the truck to recognize the switch. My dealer has never done this before, does anyone have any more info on the procedure the dealer has to do? I searched the topic and saw the info about the ACM. Did not know if anyone else has followed through.

If your dealer has the lasest software (59. 1) loaded into the DRB III tester there is two new menu items added to Configure for Passenger On-Off Switch in Miscellaneous FunctionsAB On-OFF SWITCH Only" and "Passenger OCM and PAB On-Off Switch". This for 2004 and later DR ACM (Airbag Control Module).

Its a done deal now. I had to pay 17 bucks. It took them longer to put the paper in the foot well and pull the truck in then to tell the computer the switch is there. Part # for slate bezel with hole is 5hd08xdvaa, according to the package I have. I had to scrounge up fasteners to put the switch on the back of the bezel.

thanks for posting the part number... . I just learned yesterday that my dealer won't put the plug in...



It would be nice when people start litigating for things other than liability and making the pendulum swing the other way.
