Off Roading Air Bag (Will it blow)

I was wondering if anybody had put in a switch to turn off the airbag while offroading. I smashed my stock bumper and am having a tube bumper put on but from how I understand, the sensors work off G's and a big enough hit would blow it in my face right? I think I got lucky that it didn't go this time. Anybody

I know in the Jeep TJ, you just pull the air bag fuse out to de-activate it. The dealer told us that, and that is what we did.

Maybe the truck is the same? Ask you dealer, he may know.

I have been looking for a tube bumper for years for my 96. Where are you getting the tube bumper from??

A guy from PavementSucks.com his website is www.thurenfabrication.com. He's got pictures on there but you can get it with skidplate, light mounts, winch mounts. He makes it how you want it.
