I have a 2003 3500 SRW that I am thinking of getting a Slide-in-Truck Camper for. The weight of some of the campers are anywhere from 2300-3000lbs that I am looking at. I fiqure I am going to need something to counter act any sway I might have. I have had people tell me that Air Bags work just as well as Sway Bars, and some say I need both! I am not to concerned with the truck sagging in the rear, as I am with making turns. Which do all of you think would be better?

My dad runs both on his 06 with a slide-in, and they both help out. The airbags did help a bit, but the swaybar makes the biggest difference.

Sagging is a concern for more than looks. It effects headlights, steering, and braking.

I would do both. I don't use a slide-in and have both and really like what each does for the truck. Hellwig makes a standard and a big wig, I would get the big wig.

I ran both on my srw Mega cab, tried only bags with the bump stop on the overload springs, just get it over the first time, bags and Hellewig sway bar. My camper was 2500 and I towed 8500 worth of car trailer and Jeep. Could tow switch backs without causing a traffic jam after I installed both

It sounds like you two guys are pretty diffinite about using both! I am taking up donations to get them! LOL. . thanks.
