I have a friend that has an 01 with the "Turn over ball brand" 5 th wheel hitch set up... . can an air bag system be used?? which one ??? I am asking because the 5 th wheel set up brackets go where the air bag set up goes... ??

I have a pullrite fifth wheel hitch and the brackets are one solid piece on each side of the frame. I had to drill through both the frame and brackets to install the air bags. The original bolts were too short so I bought some new grade 8 bolts. Took more time but it sure made a solid installation. I bought my air bags at the website shown below. My advice would be to go to the website and look at the installation instructions for your year and model.

I'm sure somebody that has already tried or done the turn over ball/air bag install will give you more info. .

Good luck

I have a turn over ball with air bags. Did the install myself so I know what was involved. Did the same thing wlowe had to do about the bolts. The stock bolts were too short so I bought longer grade 8 bolts from Ace Hardware. Had to drill thru both the frame and the hitch brackets. Pretty easy install. I bought my Air Ride bags from Camping World, $199. 00. Good luck!!
