Air box problem??

On my '92, I went to clean my air filter today and when I put it back together, I noticed that the stainless clamp seemed to bottom out before the rubber hose got tight on the air box. I took it back apart and seen it had a steel band that fits snuggly against the air box, sort of like an adapter. I put the clamp back on where the adapter is and it still don't tighten up correctly. When the clamp is as tight as you can get it, you actually can get the rubber hose off if you try. Any help on this will make my day a little brighter.

3dracer, sounds like your turbo clamp[that's what their called] is bad. look for broken welds at the end of the loop. or a stretched bolt.
