air box rubbing a.c.

Hi out there, I was showing off the 2001 cummins to a friend and he pointed out that the corner of the air box was rubbing against the stainless tube for the air conditioner mounted on the fender wall. . It wore some metal off the tube and almost a hole in the airbox. Just wondering how much clearence do you guy's have on yours ? I wonder if I put some rubber or something in between there if it would help ?

I wouldn't know... my airbox got sucked into the turbo a long time ago. But seriously, when I took mine out it had no visable wear.

My previous ISB Ram, a 2001 3500 4x4, had the

same problem. I bent the tubing so it no longer

made contact. (Don't kink it!)

My current Ram has plenty of clearance.

mine is the same way, i used a small piece of rubber hose over the A/c line

I recently had to have my A/C recharged. DC could not find the leak. I am running the BHAF and though it could have rubbed a hole in the line... but. . I could see no sign of wear.
