air canister guts

I have two questions. First, has anyone tried to "gut" the air tube that's in between the elbows? There is an "x" in the tube. It looks like one might be able to cut/break the baffles out.

Secondly, my horn has a mind of its own. I've had to remove the fuse to keep it from going off. I'm sure the dealer can handle it, but the truck hasn't made it there yet.

Do a search on removing the baffles in that air tube... it's been done quite a bit. The other option would be to buy a stainless replacement tube from Geno's ($50 or so, I think).



As for the horn... who knows?! I'd bet it's the switch in the steering column.

an other alternative for the X piece in the intake pipe is buying a piece of 5. 5" intake tubing... airflow systems inc sells it here by foot for under $15. 00 per foot
